Privacy Policy

How FILEZY (filezytools.com) handles your files and personal data.

Last updated: 2026-11-05

Draft for the site owner: this text describes how the website is built to work. It is not legal advice. Complete the highlighted items and have it reviewed by a qualified professional before relying on it. Remove this notice when done.

1. Who is responsible

The website filezytools.com (“FILEZY”) is operated by:

  • Operator: [Owner to complete: legal name]
  • Address: [Owner to complete: postal address]
  • Country: [Owner to complete: country]
  • Email: contact@filezytools.com

For any privacy question, write to contact@filezytools.com.

2. The short version

  • Your files stay on your device. The PDF and image tools run inside your web browser. The files you select are read into your browser’s memory, processed there, and the result is offered back to you as a download. We do not receive, upload, store, view or analyse them.
  • We have no user accounts and do not ask for your name or email to use the tools.
  • Optional cookies (analytics, advertising) are only used if configured and you agree through the consent banner.

3. What we process

3.1 Your documents

Not processed by us. Because processing happens locally, document content (including text you type into the PDF editor, images and signatures you insert, passwords you type into the Protect PDF tool, and page selections) is never transmitted to our servers or to third parties. You can verify this in your browser’s developer tools (Network tab).

3.2 Technical data when you visit

When your browser requests a page, the hosting provider receives technical data such as your IP address, the requested URL, date and time, browser type and referrer. This is needed to deliver and secure the website. The site is hosted on a static-hosting platform (planned: Cloudflare Pages); the provider may keep standard server logs under its own policies. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3.3 Your consent choice

If the consent banner is active, your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage (key filezy-consent) so we don’t ask repeatedly. It never leaves your device. It is strictly necessary to respect your decision.

3.4 Analytics

Current status of this build: no analytics are configured; no analytics data is collected.

If enabled, and only after you accept analytics, we use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and tool usage events (for example “tool opened”, “processing completed”, with coarse file-size bucket and an error category). We never send file names, file contents or passwords. Google Analytics uses cookies and may transfer data to Google. Ad personalisation signals are disabled. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.

3.5 Advertising

Current status of this build: no advertising is shown or loaded.

We intend to finance FILEZY with display advertising from Google AdSense. When active, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads, and — where you consent — to personalise them. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland ads are only served after consent is collected through a consent management platform. Learn more in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Ads are never shown inside the tool area in a way that interferes with uploads or downloads.

3.6 Messages you send us

If you email us we process your email address and message to reply to you (legitimate interest / steps at your request). We keep it only as long as needed to handle your request.

4. Who receives data

  • Hosting/CDN provider (technical request data).
  • Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC – only if analytics or advertising are enabled and you consented.
  • Our email provider, if you contact us.

We do not sell personal data.

5. International transfers

Hosting and Google services may involve processing outside the EEA (for example the United States). Where this happens it relies on safeguards such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses, as applicable to the provider. [Owner: confirm provider details when you finalise your stack]

6. Retention

We keep no documents. Server logs at the hosting provider are kept according to its policy. Analytics data (if enabled) is retained according to the retention setting configured in Google Analytics (recommended: 2 months). Your consent choice stays in your browser until you clear it.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Contact us at contact@filezytools.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.

8. Children

FILEZY is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Processing in your browser means your documents are not exposed to our servers. No method is perfectly secure; keep your device and browser up to date.

10. Changes

We will update this page when the website changes (for example when analytics or advertising are switched on). The date at the top shows the latest revision.
